festitalia 2007 - the stage
TAFE MORNINGSIDE STUDENTS CONSTRUCT STAGE PROPS FOR FESTITALIA 2007
Festitalia was fortunate to have commissioned the design and manufacture of the main stage props for the annual Italian festival through the Diploma of Live Production, Theatre and Events (Construction and Management) faculty at TAFE Morningside.
This is a mutually beneficial association where the students are actively involved in a project which will be highly visible to the community as well as providing Festitalia with a high quality professional theatrical set.
Students of Film and Design have been working on the stage sets under the direction of lecturers Caroline Walker, Scott Dent and Ivan Radanovic since Februray. Production is well under way and the finished sets which will feature iconic representations of Italy were on display at Festitalia July 1, 2007 at the RNA showgrounds.
